Note: This is a mathematical estimate using monthly compounding and end-of-month deposits. Actual bank RD returns can differ because institutions may use different compounding, deposit-date and interest-crediting conventions, rates, taxes or premature-closure rules.

How this RD calculator works

Each monthly deposit is treated as being made at the end of the month. Every deposit then earns the assumed monthly interest rate for the remaining months of the tenure.

The calculation is an annuity-immediate formula, which is useful for estimating the growth of equal recurring monthly deposits under a constant rate.

Maturity Value = Monthly Deposit × ((1 + r)n − 1) ÷ r

Here, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12) and n is the total number of monthly deposits.

How to use this calculator

What to enter

Enter or select the following as requested: Currency Display only; Monthly Deposit; Annual Interest Rate; Tenure. Follow the units, valid ranges, examples, and options displayed beside each field.

What the result means

The financial result is a projection based on the contribution or principal, rate of return or interest, fees, tax assumptions, and time period entered. Check compounding frequency, deposit timing, inflation treatment, and whether the rate is nominal or real; actual returns and tax treatment can differ.

When to use it

Use this to compare savings, investment, deposit, or personal-finance scenarios. Treat the result as an estimate rather than a guaranteed return, and verify current product terms, fees, and local tax rules before making a financial decision.
